A few words about village Brje
Due to its sunny location and idyllic climate, Brje in Vipava is dotted with many vineyards and orchards, which offer visitors many attractive corners for taking photos. They are a place with a long tradition of fruit growing and viticulture, as evidenced by one of the oldest viticulture societies in Slovenia.
The architect Maks Fabiani, who prepared a plan for the village church and the chapel at the cemetery, and the poet Simon Gregorčič, who served in nearby Branik, helped with farm work in Brje, and was also one of the co-founders of the association of winegrowers left their mark on Brja. At a height of 331 meters on the hill above the village is the church of Saint Martin, which we used for the name of our winery and brand - San Mártin.
